Case Study: Bean Cycle Roasters Coffee in the Great Sand Dunes National Park
This shoot was a spec project completed by Alina Navarrete in 2022.
Coffee, coffee, coffee!
I’ve uttered this phrase more times than I can count and I’m always the one to call when testing a new coffee brand. So naturally, my husband rushed home a few samples of Bean Cycle Roasters pour-over coffee packets and we immediately put them to the test. These handy sachets were so convenient and produced one delicious cup of coffee.
As we packed our bags for a trip to the Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, I made sure to throw several varieties of Bean Cycle Roaster’s coffee packets into our kitchen box. This was the perfect location to stage a beautiful morning scene with a steaming cup of camp coffee.
This rugged but comfortable campground was the perfect spot for our shoot! I made sure that we had several of their amazing varieties, a backpacking stove, and of course, a cute enamel mug. I wanted to curate images that felt natural and a little sleepy almost, as though you were still waking up with a delicious cup of Ethiopian roast.
As always, I made sure before our trip that the weather forecast was clear and I knew that the sun would be in the perfect position to cast a warm glow over our campsite.

I’m so stoked with these images and this was such a fun little shoot to throw together with minimal gear and time!
